Otter Tail County Genealogical Society

The Otter Tail County Genealogical Society meets the 3rd Monday of each month at 2:00 p.m. in the Otter Tail County Historical Society's library.

Annual membership is $8.00 if you can pick-up your newsletter and $10.00 per calendar year if you want your newsletter mailed to you.

Membership benefits include a quarterly newsletter which contains a President's Message, Queries related to Otter Tail County, a short review of books in the Historical Society's library, FREE admission to the Historical Society's research library, as well as, many other interesting facts and indexes.

Members of the Genealogical Society meet on Wednesday mornings to do family history research for people who have sent in an "Application for Search of Biographical and Genealogical Collection".

The money raised through these searches is often given to the Historical Society for the purchase of materials such as newspapers on microfilm. A annual gift is also given for the use of the building for their monthly meetings.

The OTCGS may be able to help answer your questions and perhaps find unknown family ties that will assist your tracing activities.

Meetings provide members an opportunity to discuss individual concerns, to learn techniques for locating helpful sources, and to share interesting genealogical information.

The Otter Tail County Genealogical Society will help and encourage you in researching, organizing, and even publishing a family history.

Come visit, share and learn with us each month.
