A job at Otter Tail Power brought Al Seltz to Fergus Falls, but is it the lakes that have kept him here? Al will share some of the memories he has compiled into his new book, "Boats I Remember." - April 19, 2008 - Land of Amber Waters Program and Tasting - Barringer's Coffee House Downtown Fergus Falls - 5:00 p.m. Join us in welcoming Doug Hoverson, author of The Land of Amer Waters to learn about Minnesota's rich brewing traditions. Dedicated home brewers and casual beer drinkers alike will be amazed by the tales of Minnesota beers and breweries. Hoverson's program includes a tasting from at least half a dozen Minnesota breweries and brewpubs. Appetizers provided by Barringer's Coffee House. Admission to the program and tasting is $12. An avid photographer, Lillian channeled her hobby through the decades by taking hundreds of photographs of Fergus Falls post World War II. You will be guided through this slide presentation by Executive Director, Chris Schuelke. - May 27, 2008 - Annual Walking Tour of Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls - 5:00 p.m. Originally known as Mount Faith Cemetery, Oak Grove has been an integral part of Fergus Falls since settlement in the late 1860s. Guides lead groups to ten grave sites, where interpreters tell the history of the individuals buried there. Admission $5/per person. For more information, please call the museum at (218) 736-6038.
